Orthodontic Consultation

Your first visit

When we see you for an initial consultation, we discuss your reasons for considering orthodontic treatment, and help you find out more about orthodontics and what it may be able to do for you.

On first attending our practice in Watford Orthodontic Practice, our receptionists will greet you and take care of any outstanding administrative details.

Clinical measurements and records of your teeth and face will be then taken by the specialist orthodontist you see. These may include x-rays, photographs of your teeth and your face and impressions of your teeth for dental models.

The x-rays are taken to allow an assessment of the development of your teeth and jaws. Using all these records the orthodontists will provide you with options and a provisional plan for your orthodontic treatment.

The treatment plan will be discussed in further detail and confirmed at your second consultation before starting treatment.
